I panicked when I saw some of the Music Countdown lists posted and published mine just to realise I'm a day early. *shrug*. At least it's here.
Oh, we only get 10 choices! This is hard! So thanks to music freak Alex J Cavanaugh for this blogfest which gives us the chance to nominate our top 10 best songs of all time. It will be interesting to see across the spectrum of differenct countries and different cultures which songs will be common amongst us.
Seeing I'm on my Paris blog (it's too crowded over at L'Aussie) I'll use French numbers. Good to keep up.

My Top 10 Songs
Seeing I'm on my Paris blog (it's too crowded over at L'Aussie) I'll use French numbers. Good to keep up.
Un: I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For - U2
Deux: Fernando - Abba
Trois: Living on a Prayer - Bon Jovi
Quatre: The Summer of 69 - Bryan Adams
Cinq: Love me tender - Elvis Presley
Six: Gotta be somebody - Nickleback
Sept: Streets of Philadelphia - Bruce Springsteen
Huit: In the name of love - U2
Neuf: Lost and Running - Powderfinger
Dix: Sounds of Silence - Simon and Garfunkle
There you go. It was tres difficile to choose only 10. There are many more I like equally, but the man said 10. Enough!

ReplyDeleteCold As Heaven
All awesome songs I love listening to!
ReplyDeleteJe les aime tous! Fernando est magnifique!
ReplyDeleteOkay, that's my attempt to be cutesy French. But seriously, I love your list!
Love your list. Even a Canadian one on there.
ReplyDeleteReally like this list - if we'd been allowed more I'd have had an ABBA for sure and even a little Men at Work!
ReplyDeletesummer of 69 got a lot of love in this fest. Deserving.
ReplyDeleteNo kidding! Tres difficult for sure. Love your beautiful blog! ANd I love me some U2...seen them in concert more than any other artist.

Great list! I'd have chosen 9 out of 10 -- if I could remember titles.
ReplyDeleteHow exiting! I know all of those and they're GREAT!! There's been so many entries to this blogfest with songs I've never heard of, it's nice to see a list of familiar stuff, too, lol
ReplyDeleteWas wondering where you were. Great list and yes, sounds of silence :)
ReplyDeleteJules @ Trying To Get Over The Rainbow
Some great picks! I love Bryan Adams - Summer of 69 would have made my list if I'd had more than 10 slots. U2 - lots to choose from there. And I'm seeing Bon Jovi in concert in March - woo hoo! Thanks for sharing ~ :)

ReplyDeleteGreat list, Denise. Brought back lots of memories. And I'm glad only the numbers were in French, otherwise I'd have been in serious trouble.
ReplyDeleteFirst list I've read today that I knew most of the songs! Yay! Good choices.
ReplyDeleteOk, I love every song listed, and I love Bon Jovi twice (because he's so cute!).
ReplyDeleteVery nice list!

Tossing It Out
OMG: Abba! My sister and I knew every song and created our own dances. My parents wanted to send us to therapy, I'm sure (LOL).
ReplyDeleteI love them all Denise. Way cool.
.......dhole
Ooh, I'm glad you guys like these songs. It's nice when you hit songs you actually know isn't it? I actually owned an Abba jumpsuit in red and cream satin. Go Wow! Tres elegant!
ReplyDeleteOooh, love seeing ABBA in your list! :) They have so many amazing songs for us romantic fools :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, what a fab list. I love all of those songs! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten Songs
Such great choices. There have been a few artists I thought would have a much larger presence around this fest - U2 is one of them.
ReplyDeleteReally good choices. And it's official. Summer of '69 is my #11. I have seen it on so many lists, mocking me for not including it.
ReplyDeleteExcellent choices! Hard to go wrong with U2. :)
ReplyDeleteYay for Bryan Adams - a Canadian! (Of course, U2 and Springsteen are great choices, too [g])
ReplyDeleteObviously I think they're all pretty good, no matter what nationality!
ReplyDeleteAnd I didn't know Bryan Adams was Canadian!
ReplyDeleteYup! I started thinking about nationalities afterward, when I realised how many UK bands I had in my list...
ReplyDeleteI stopped by for the hot mug blogfest and was pleasantly surprised to see another one happening with Alex's blogfest! Great choice in music! I'll be back later on to see your favorite mug!
